Prof. Cristina Elena POPA TACHE, has been accepted free of charge as a member of the international academic network OCEAN (Open Council of Europe Academic Networks), an initiative of the Council of Europe bringing together prestigious universities and research institutions from around the world: OCEAN Member Database.
About OCEAN
OCEAN is the Council of Europe’s academic platform designed to create a space for dialogue and cooperation between academia and European institutions by:
- promoting academic excellence in the fields of law, democracy, and governance;
- facilitating the exchange of good practices and educational resources;
- integrating the European dimension into teaching and research activities;
- strengthening the international network of partnerships between faculties of law and research institutes.
Advantages of OCEAN Membership
According to the official presentation of the Council of Europe, membership in this network offers the following benefits:
- international visibilitythrough inclusion in the official OCEAN database;
- access to information and resourceson Council of Europe activities, including academic and training materials;
- the opportunity to publish announcements and calls(calls for contributions, conferences, events) on the OCEAN platform, accessible to the international academic community;
- participation in the general OCEAN calendar, with our faculty’s events integrated into the wider European network of activities;
- access to the Council of Europe’s free online HELP courses, recognised as part of the curriculum and regarded as a membership condition: HELP Courses;
- use of the OCEAN and Council of Europe logos, with prior notification to the OCEAN Secretariat, for our official events
- Open Council of Europe Academic Networks.
- Beginning with the next academic year, our curriculum will include the free online HELP coursesdeveloped by the Council of Europe, thus enhancing our students’ training to European standards: HELP Course Catalogue.
